Centra Finaghy

The following NORTHERN IRELAND BOWLING ASSOCIATION fixtures are scheduled for April through September 2011.

This season Clubs will be playing Home and Away due to the restructuring of the Leagues.
It is therefore important to complete the Match Result Cards with correct date and venue .
Please ensure that the Home Team is entered first on the card irrespective of the result.
This will avoid misunderstanding and help the League Secretary to apply the result to the
correct fixture.
Due to problems with the Green at Ravenhill all matches involving 1st B’Macarrett and McQuiston scheduled to played there will now be played at Orangefield until further notice.
Newtownabbey B have withdrawn from Competition. All teams scheduled to play them will now have a BYE

               Please note the following with regard to postponed NIBA Fixtures.

All dates and times for League, Cup & Competition Fixtures are as scheduled by the Honorary League and Honorary Competitions Secretaries and are the dates for completion of each fixture. Fixtures may only be postponed in accordance with NIBA Rule 13 - Postponements on Page 135 of the IBA Yearbook. It is my understanding that this rule has been amended so that all such matches postponed must be played on the following Tuesday at 6.30pm or on another date in that week, if agreed by both Clubs. In the event of a Club(s) still involved at the Semi-Final stages of the IBA Cups, such fixtures must be brought forward to the preceding Tuesday 9th August at 6.30pm. In the event of a Club(s) still involved at the Final stages of the IBA Cups, such fixtures must be brought forward to Tuesday 9th & 23rd August. It is best to check this with the relevant League or Competition Secretary.
